The hidden flowing source of strength
Before discovering this source, he could only do little things; for example, earning enough money to buy a luxurious car, eliminate the people he didn’t like, cheating others,… At that time, he only had the ability to express emotions of weakness, such as shouting out loud to satisfy his anger, scolding the neighbor at the face, criticizing others with contempt, beating a guy in the neighborhood, showing off, slandering others behind the back,…
As time went on, he grew up and got older. Fortunately, he possessed the eyes that observed, a mouth that knew how to keep quiet, a head that could think calmly, a heart that reached to others. Perhaps these are not of his own possession since everyone is born in the image and likeness of the Powerful Love.
Then his life changed a great deal when he discovered a hidden flowing source of strength inside his soul. It had been there since ever but he had not been deep and calm enough to recognize it. That flowing source is just as normal as many other good things that God has sent into each person’s life.
Whoever is aware of it and integrates himself/herself with it will be able to do great things, great but not loud and noisy. This greatness can create joy and peace that surpass all words, the joy and peace that can only be felt by the heart, a heart filled with happiness.
That flowing source gives him incredible strength to accomplish great things, as great as bending down to pick up a little piece of trash, skipping an angry reaction, determining to live truthfully in a dishonest environment, respecting the differences of others, giving without any expectation, forgiving without a need to be apologized, staying optimistic even in darkness, viewing failure as opportunity, sustaining the inner peace instead of getting panic,…
This flowing source of strength helps him defeat the most dangerous enemy that is…himself. Satan is also driven away.
This source gives him courage to confidently live the positive conviction of the heart. As a result, he becomes more and more attached to God’s love, the love that liberates him from fear, selfishness, doubt, pessimism, disappointment, despair,… In other words, it enables him to love God enough to live his life according to God’s wise will.
This flowing source opens his eyes to see the profound in the ordinary, light in darkness, God in difficulties.
This flowing source has a name, that is: contemplation. Yes, it’s the flow of contemplation – the flow of strength!
To live deep in the flow of contemplation, in simple words, is to look through the eyes of God and to love with his heart.
How does God look and love? Everyone knows it.
What is the result of this? It’s clear to all.
Practice it and understand.
Philip said to Jesus, “Show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
Jesus answered: “… Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father….” (John 14:9)
